It is crazy how quickly the time goes when you are too busy and tired to keep track of the days. I keep having to look at my calendar to know what day it is.
It has been a very busy and exhausting week. We are all adjusting ok...Brady is having the hardest time. He isn't quite sure how much he likes this new baby in our house. I have been wanting to get a picture of them together but Brady can't seem to get the concept of being gentle and soft with the baby so the picture will have to wait until he figures it out.
Gavin is a really good baby so far. He only really cries when he is hungry or tired. It's been a challenging week because he has had jaundice and we have had to take him back to the hospital almost everyday to have his blood tested. I have had to wake him up in the night to eat and keep him on a 2 1/2 hour schedule. It's been tough but we finally got things under control and after one night in the "baby tanning bed," it looks like everything is going to be ok. When Gavin was born we found out that he was tongue tied. It's a condition that makes it so his tongue is connected to the bottom of his mouth and it makes it difficult for him to suck and swallow. We were able to have that taken care of while we were in the hospital and it has made a huge difference in the way he is eating. Now that he is eating, he is also making lots of dirty diapers which has helped take care of he jaundice. I'm not sure how well he sleeps since I have to wake him up at night. Now that the jaundice is gone, we will see how well he does on his own at night.
We are so in love with our new baby boy. He is such a cute baby and we are so lucky to have him in our family. Babies bring such a sweet spirit into a home and we have loved having him here.
We just wish Brady felt the same way :)
